Please join us on Friday, April 19th, at 3 pm when Mark Firmani will defend his dissertation, "Translating Genre: Contemporary Iraqi Fiction and Critiques of International Law". 

Committee Members: Paul Saint-Amour (chair) | Huda Fakhreddine, Josephine Park, and Chi-ming YangMark will meet privately with his committee at 2 pm. The public defense will begin at 3 pm, followed immediately by a reception where we will toast the newly minted Dr. Firmani.
